I can't say I'm surprised that the above blogger finds himself somehow just "attracted to drama". It is interesting to see a bunch of your heroes up on stage fighting for what they believe in (except Hillary).

The article leaves out the underground constituency also, which have rising numbers now that we have the internets. Ron Paul would never make the top two (in 2008) but he got millions of people interested in politics again or for the first time, e.g..

Very well-written post. I have to say that despite agreeing with the logic, I find myself attracted to the drama of the candidate show-down. I believe there is something that we humans are attracted to in the concept of a one-on-one battle. It allows us to simplify the world into good versus bad, right versus wrong, etc. In some ways, it brings a bit of order to the universe.

I have to say I agree that I was impressed with Ben's play as I have been all year. That game was all about NOT making a mistake for him and he excelled there.

I don't disagree with the meaning exclusively. I see both a wonderful acceptance of the hapiness that can come from ignorance as well as a depressing reality of futility. The fact is though that I find the overall song to be consistent with the beauty of life in general - surrender, fitful dreams and all.
